The Microsoft Office suite of tools is getting a new name and a new app logo.
For more than 30 years the name “Microsoft Office” has been embedded into our brains as the standard office suite across most PC’s around the world. After all these years we bid a farewell to the name we have all gotten so accustom too for new name “Microsoft 365”.
This does not mean apps like Word and Excel are going away, but rather that the company’s suite of tools is simply taking on a new, somewhat familiar name and rebranding.
The rebrand would start with Office.com in November 2022, followed by Microsoft’s free cloud-based versions, the Office app on Windows and Office mobile app, in January 2023.
